Meet Anjali and Ramani

We swapped recipes, discussed ideas, and attended several cake exhibitions together (any excuse for a day away in Paris!). We get wonderful feedback and appreciation from our friends and family, for whom our cakes have become a regular feature at events and celebrations. This hobby has become an obsession for us both, so we decided to take the plunge by launching Halli & Shah Cakes to bring joy to all of you.

Many of our creations are seeded in traditional family recipes that have been passed from generation to generation and our cakes are hand-made from the freshest, high-quality ingredients. As mothers, we have always used natural ingredients and avoided artificial additives and we bring this approach to Halli & Shah. Wherever possible, we use organic, fair trade, and sustainable products and aim to source locally. 

We found that many cakes contain excess sugar, which we believe is simply not required. In developing our cakes, we consciously use the minimum refined sugar needed for a successful bake, whilst just as importantly maintaining their delicious flavor. Our cakes for babies and toddlers only contain natural ingredients and are free from refined sugar.

Our elegant, minimalist designs are suitable for celebrations, yet can be enjoyed at any time of the day. Can you think of anything more pleasurable than a generous slice of cake with your cuppa?
